I am Bi-Polar and an alcoholic. I haven't had an alcoholic drink in over 6 years. I am very proud of myself for this, it took like 5 or 6 times with a lot of backsliding. My art has followed me through my sobriety and my mental health, and it conveys the pain and struggle that it takes to transform. It also shows the joy and humor that life dishes out as well. My art is my transformation, and my transformation is my art. I've learned to appreciate the moment and not shut the world out, but let the world in.
